DEKALB COUNTY CRISIS CENTER

The DeKalb County Crisis Center is an out-patient and intervention facility that serves the communities of DeKalb. The facility makes use of a sloped site which allows covered parking beneath it. A soft contemporary approach to the building’s esthetic is shown by its curved walls and large amounts of glass. A structured marker gives a clear sense of the building’s main entry and doubles as an architectural feature. Service is far removed from the general patient usage and conveniently accessed by the lower level. Medical offices are provided with exam rooms, support stations and laboratories. Areas are provided for support staff and a full level counseling
