On the heels of GVSA’s successful design of the Southern Company Gas Resource Center in Atlanta, we are continuing in design three additional facilities for the Gwinnett, Cobb and Clayton county locations. One of the first from a 4-year IDIQ, this Clayton County facility will be located as a new addition to its existing resource, training, fleet and call centers. The new business center’s challenge has been its placement into the existing campus. After an intensive programming phase, GVSA was able to understand and respond to the various travel paths of existing nodes for fleet vehicles, staff, and visitor parking. In response to existing zoning regulations and community concerns, the programming informed a need to develop three separate buildings, all interconnected and accessible to the campus proper. The new facilities are to fit into the existing campus vernacular, with similar materials and colors to be used.
