Georgia Southwestern State University is a great example of GVSA’s ability to handle a larger, multi-faceted project with both complicated renovation and new construction components. An existing gym with classrooms and multiple support spaces required a full renovation to support sports and recreation as well as teaching and convocations.
A new Student Life Center was added coupled with a center court sports facility also used for performances, speeches, and convocations. Interstitial space is used for registration, community, and other student activities. Bill Chatham, former Vice Chancellor for the Board of Regents said “This will be the finest building of its kind in the State of Georgia”.
