FL Stanton Elementary needed a large multi-purpose space for large assembly with a stage to accommodate various school and community related activities. It would also function as a gymnasium with direct access for after school needs as well. Oversized rooms were added to the program for music and art curriculums that could also serve the neighboring communities. With a more historic concern of the addition’s aesthetic, the goal directed to GVSA was to completely blend the new facility with the existing school. A subtle mix of brick color with patterned shapes and clay tile roofing brought the new and the old together seamlessly.
